Two ways we do this

Which price applies depends on what you actually need from the survey:

• £200 — Blockage diagnosis & unblock. We run a camera down the line to find out what's causing a blockage, and clear it as part of the same visit where it can be cleared without further work. Covers the survey, a written report, and the unblock itself.
• £300 — Pre-purchase or pre-sale survey. A full clean of the drain run first, so the CCTV footage is genuinely clear rather than obscured by grease, silt or debris, followed by the full camera survey and a written report suitable for sharing with a solicitor or surveyor.

In both cases, if the survey finds root ingress or a collapsed section that can't simply be cleared or cleaned through, we'll give you a separate repair quote rather than force it — that part of our approach doesn't change either way.

Buying or selling a house?

A pre-purchase CCTV drain survey is one of the most common reasons people call us. Drainage problems are rarely visible from a standard house survey, and issues like root ingress or a collapsed section can be expensive to fix after completion. Because we clean the drain run first, the footage we hand over is properly clear — not full of debris that makes it hard to tell what's actually wrong — and the written report is something you can confidently share with your solicitor or surveyor.

We can usually get a survey booked within 48 hours' notice, which normally fits comfortably within a typical house-buying timeline.

Recurring blockages

If a drain keeps blocking despite being cleared before, that's usually a sign of something structural — a partial collapse, root ingress, or a section that's settled and now holds standing water. A CCTV survey is the only reliable way to see what's actually happening underground, rather than guessing and clearing the same symptom repeatedly.
